When I was a little girl growing up in Southern Saskatchewan, I lived next to a little creek. I spent many hours playing around the water and hiding in the cattails. I used to bath my dolls and my cats in that creek. I collected rocks and spent countless amounts of time pretending to sing. I really got into it. I didn't just sing... I sang! Head back, eyes closed, hands flailing. I dreamed of my audience enjoying my music and smiling back at me. I mostly sang Engelbert stuff as he was my mom's favourite and as a result, I knew all the words. I also got into the Beatles. Being the youngest of seven kids, I was really at the mercy of my families musical tastes. I still love that music.

I have spent my life dreaming I would sing and perform and at the age of 38, I realized this dream. With the encouragement and persistence of my husband Bruce, along with tentative but positive words from my boys, Jesse, Lucas, and Tanner, I began a journey of faith. I immersed myself in vocal lessons and took every opportunity I was offered to perform and have done that consistently ever since.

Life offers many good and not so good lessons, to which I am not spared. Through it all I have learned that I need to live happy, love unconditionally, and spread joy. This new adventure is just that, the spreading of joy through music.

I am a soloist at the Centre for Spiritual Enrichment in Calgary, Alberta. I have performed in many concerts with many different genres of music. Traveling to new and exciting locations to sing excites me. I have made myself available to share my music for fund-raisers and sacred events, and now I have realized another dream, my first CD titled Bloom.

I am grateful for my new exciting life and energy that I have found in sharing music with others. I believe the words to songs and the melodies around them resonate deeply of our own personal stories.

I encourage you to go on a new journey and follow your heart to your life calling... no matter what your age may be!
